This 18” x 24” unframed lithographic art print features an original hand-illustrated map of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks by Xplorer Maps artist Chris Robitaille. Created in pen and ink with watercolor detail, the artwork captures the towering forests, granite peaks, and deep glacial valleys of California’s Sierra Nevada.
Established in 1890, Sequoia National Park was created to protect the world’s largest trees — the giant sequoias. The map highlights the famed Giant Forest, home to the General Sherman Tree and some of the largest living organisms on Earth. To the north, Kings Canyon National Park preserves additional groves of sequoias along with dramatic canyon walls, alpine meadows, waterfalls, and landmarks such as the General Grant Tree and Zumwalt Meadow.
Wildlife including black bears, bighorn sheep, and peregrine falcons are thoughtfully woven into the composition, alongside vibrant wildflowers and high-elevation terrain.
Blending cartographic precision with artistic storytelling, this piece serves as a meaningful tribute to two of America’s most awe-inspiring national parks.
